Incarceration Support
I learned working in criminal court, that a defense attorney's job ends the moment the judge’s gavel hits the bench.
Which is why I feel it's especially important that I provide support to clients who end up having to serve time.
Whether it's getting prescribed medication admitted to the jail so that you or a loved one isn't at the mercy of their medical care, getting in touch with a watch commander through the many points of contact I have within the jails/prisons to ensure their safety, or coaching them through the process - my job doesn't end just because their lawyer’s does.
When I had to serve time myself, I promised myself and my family that I'd make it a good use of time instead of a waste of time. I read over 200 books, learned another language, taught myself to type, and was granted interviews at several 4-year universities upon my release. I've helped clients make similar uses of their incarceration so that a bad verdict doesn't have to end in a bad outcome.
